Concentrating on race set-up saw Lockwood Racing's Fabian Coulthard fall down the order in today's practice sessions at Sydney Olympic Park Street Circuit.

Coulthard, who finished 25th overall, says today's work means the car should be good on its tyres for tomorrow's 250km race, which has proven to be a race-winning factor in the past.

V8 Supercars will be on track from 9.25 tomorrow for qualifying before the 74-lap race at 15.05.

"I got done by a few curbs in that last session, which has made me look pretty bad, but today was meant to be about practice so no harm done.

"This weekend will definitely be a race of attrition but hopefully a good team strategy and a car that's consistent and good on tyres will deliver for us

"I think the Lockwood car is pretty easy on its tyres, which means it's not so good for one qualifying lap but, with two 250km races, I think the pros outweigh the cons."
