THE WORD FROM TIM

Tim Slade and the Freightliner/Alliance Truck Parts Commodore finished just outside the top ten today, however the consistent race results see Tim pop up into the top ten of the Supercars Championship – 9th.

Tim is looking for more qualifying pace, so he can start a couple of rows up in the grid order. The agenda for tomorrow is the same, with one 20-minute qualifying session and a 250km race, another chance to do it all again and crack into that top ten.

TIM

“We want to be qualifying and finishing further up the grid than what we are. We’re just outside the top ten, but we thought we would have been a little bit better today after what we learned in practice yesterday.”

“In terms of our speed, our race pace today was better than it was in qualifying. We ran a couple of different things across the other BJR cars, so we’ll look at that overnight and see what we can improve on as a group.”

“The Freightliner / Alliance Truck Parts Commodore was good on tyres today, the car looked after its tyres really well and that was a positive part of our day, but we didn’t have that outright pace we needed. We want to get more out of the cars for tomorrow’s final 250km battle so we’ll keep at it and see what we can do.”
