THE WORD FROM TIM

Tim Slade drove the Freightliner / Alliance Truck Parts Racing Commodore up through the field again today, from 17th to 12th. Whilst the team were eager to crack the top ten today after being so close yesterday, Tim still stays strong in the championship, sitting in 10th position at the end of this fourth round.

With the Freightliner fleet heading off to the next Supercars event in less than a weeks’ time, the team will return to Albury tonight, regroup and get ready for the upcoming battle - the Perth SuperSprint at Barbagallo Raceway.

TIM

“It was a pretty similar day to yesterday for the team at Freightliner Racing. We didn’t qualify where we wanted to, but our car had good race speed, so we moved forward again. It’s always good to get past a few people, and when you start that little bit further up it makes the task at hand a bit easier. We’ve got a few things to work on to improve on and really maximise our qualifying potential.”

“As a group we’ve got a bit of work to do before heading to Perth in two weeks’ time. It is a track we know we want to do better at, as it wasn’t one of our strongest tracks last year.”
