It was another top ten day for Tim Slade and the Freightliner Racing Commodore to finish off Round 6 of the Supercars Championship at Winton Motor Raceway. Tim qualified in 9th and was able to move forward a couple of spots in the race to finish in 7th. The car was strong in its first couple of stints, but with traffic proving difficult, drivers were finding it extremely difficult to pass today.

The consistent and solid points haul from stable mates Tim Slade and Nick Percat sees the team move up to 4th in the teams’ championship, whilst Tim remains in a solid 10th position in the drivers championship standings.

The teams now have a short break before heading to the top end of Australia, Darwin, in June.

“I thought Tim drove quite well today. We tried to run an aggressive strategy as possible, but unfortunately passing here is almost impossible unless you’ve got a huge tyre delta, however Tim managed to get by a couple of guys. It was really tough for people to pass out there, like a traffic jam. We had more pace than where we finished, but 7th was all we could manage today.”
