Machineryhouse partners with Brad Jones Racing to pay a touching tribute to Jason Richards at the ITM Auckland SuperSprint. Car #14 will carry the memorable colours of white, blue and red resembling Richards’s last ever livery with BJR.

Machineryhouse is a 100% family owned business supplying high-quality workshop and engineering equipment to the New Zealand market since 2008. Machineryhouse continues to be one of the largest stockists and suppliers of machine tools, sheet metal and fabrication equipment in the southern hemisphere.

“When you buy a machine from Machineryhouse, it’s not just a sale – it’s a partnership. We are honoured to partner with Brad Jones Racing on Car #14 for the ITM Auckland SuperSprint.  Celebrating one of our own, an amazing person and driver, the late Jason Richards. Our sister company in Australia have previously backed Nick Percat and we are thrilled to extend this partnership in New Zealand. We’re looking forward to having Tim Slade behind the wheel of the MachineryHouse Racing Supercar” Miles Donald National Manager from Machineryhouse stated.

Slade will be returning to Pukekohe Park Raceway for his 6th year with the Supercars Championship making his debut back in 2013. Completing a total of 19 races throughout this time with a best finish of 6th position in 2017.

“It will be an exciting event having the support of a local, New Zealand business. Our workshop in Albury is equipped with their products and an important key in ensuring our cars are out on the grid.  I’m in safe hands having Machineryhouse on Car #14.”

“It’s a track I always look forward to going too as it’s our only international race for the season. Although Pukekohe hasn’t always been too nice to me in the past, I’m feeling confident leading into the weekend and privileged to be racing in Richards’s colours”. Slade said.

Brad Jones added “We’ve had a fantastic partnership with the Machineryhouse team for many years now and it’s great to have them take over the #14 Supercar, for the Auckland event.”

“If you walk into our production department, you would think you’ve stepped into a Machineryhouse store. It is such an integral part of our business and is constantly on the go, you’ll always find the crew working away at the CNC machines or on the welders or power tools. We utilize a wide range of their sheet metal and fabrication equipment as it all plays a vital part in bringing our Supercars to life.”

“It will be a special round for us having this tribute livery, as 2010 was our last season together. Jase and Jonesy made it onto the podium in 3rd at the Phillip Island 500. Unfortunately, this turned out to be his last-ever podium finish in the Supercars Championship. I’m very proud to run this livery on behalf of JR and compete for the JR Memorial Trophy. I know Tim will do us proud at Pukekohe. There’s no doubt our whole team are eager to get a good result this weekend”.

The white, blue and red livery will be seen on track from Friday the 13th of September, with two practice sessions to get the weekend underway. Practice one kicking off at 12:05pm-12:35pm (NZST). Check your local guides for times and be sure to tune in to see Tim Slade and the Machineryhouse Supercar in action.
