RECAP – With practice three kicking off the day, the rain staying away. We saw a much more productive day on track. Heading into qualifying, Tim still struggled with lack of grip and getting the correct set-up for the Pukekohe circuit. Finishing off in P13 with all attention focused on getting the car set up as best as possible for the race.

Unfortunately, not getting the start Tim was hoping for and losing a few positions early on. He had to regain his momentum finding his rhythm again. Tim struggled with speed and on a track that’s hard to overtake, it was difficult for him to move up the grid. A Safety Car bought on by Mark Winterbottom gave Tim a chance to come in and pit and find some fresh ground. Crossing the finish line in P11, the team will re-group and go again tomorrow for 200kms of racing.

THE WORD FROM TIM

“I had a terrible start so lost a few there and really struggled with finding speed. It’s one of my favourite tracks to come too as I enjoy the challenges Pukekohe circuit has. It’s great to see all the passionate motorsport fans our here. The team and I will debrief tonight and work on hopefully a better strategy for tomorrow.”
